Our client, a leading global insurer, is seeking a Life Actuarial professional to join as a Manager, Modelling Actuary.
Key responsibilities
- Develop actuarial models, ensuring compliance with model risk policies and controls
- Review and challenge model methodologies, assumptions, outputs and associated risks
- Provide modelling support and subject-matter expertise to actuarial teams
- Drive efficiency improvements across models, tools and processes
- Support model governance, including documentation, monitoring and issue remediation
Critical requirements
- Qualified or close-to-qualified actuary with membership of a recognised actuarial body
- Strong actuarial experience, ideally including hands-on modelling and stochastic valuation
- Prophet experience
- Sound technical, analytical and problem-solving skills, with good actuarial judgement
- Clear written and verbal communication, able to explain complex concepts to varied stakeholders
