Role Overview
The Director/ MD is responsible for leading pitches and managing project execution, reporting to a partner and overseeing junior professionals. The role involves direct client interactions—both virtual and, potentially, in person, including overseas travel. Success is measured by exceeding client expectations and delivering high standard outcomes. The role also entails developing the team through training and coaching, contributing to team strategy, and fostering collaborative project opportunities within the firm.
Key Skills & Experience
- Lead pitches and project execution from scoping to delivery within structured or corporate finance.
- Build and manage client relationships, particularly in the Southeast Asia region.
- Develop solutions by integrating multiple competencies to meet client needs.
- Manage day-to-day client communications, demonstrating proactive engagement.
- Shape and deliver client projects that exceed expectations.
- Support team development by providing training and coaching.
- Identify opportunities for business growth through network building and collaboration.
Please note: This position requires hands-on experience in structured finance, corporate finance, turnaround, or value creation work of 12 years or more, covering all phases from pitching to execution. Experience with regional clients and, optionally, with global funds or credit roles within investment banks, advisory, or boutiques is advantageous.
