AVP - FCC
The AVP - FCC role supports a leading investment platform in Singapore within a dedicated financial crime function. The position exists to strengthen controls related to market-facing activities, manage financial crime risks, and collaborate with stakeholders to establish a solid control environment.

Role Overview
The AVP will act as a subject matter partner for financial crime matters across capital markets teams, including trading, investment operations, and controls. The role involves conducting risk assessments, advising on control enhancements, reviewing policies and operating models, and providing stakeholder training. Success in this position includes maintaining effective controls, supporting regulatory compliance, and fostering risk awareness across teams.
Key Skills & Experience
- Perform financial crime risk assessments across products, transactions, client types, geographies, and distribution channels
- Advise on and enhance controls related to AML / CFT, anti-bribery & corruption, and fraud
- Review and challenge policies, procedures, and operating models for effectiveness and compliance
- Partner with teams on financial crime requirements for new products, processes, or transformation initiatives
- Provide guidance and training to stakeholders on relevant financial crime risks and expectations
- 6–8 years of relevant experience in Financial Crime / AML / sanctions / compliance risk
- Strong understanding of capital markets products and activity
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging senior stakeholders
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and adaptable to fast-paced environments with multiple workstreams
- Exposure to control design, process improvement, or change/transformation projects
Nice to Have
- Experience working within a bank, buy-side institution, or regulated financial services environment
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a financial crime subject matter partner to capital markets stakeholders
- Perform risk assessments across products, transactions, client types, and regions
- Develop and drive remediation plans based on risk assessments
- Review and challenge policies, procedures, and operating models for compliance and efficiency
- Partner with teams on financial crime requirements during product and process changes
- Provide guidance, training, and updates on financial crime risks and controls
Requirements
- Right to work in Singapore
- Experience in Financial Crime, AML, sanctions, or compliance risk
- Familiarity with capital markets products and activities
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple workstreams
- Exposure to control design, process improvement, or transformation projects
